Today we announced Frida Mom as our first PWC partner who so BODLY takes on helping women get through the 4th Trimester. I can’t help but sit and reflect on how lucky I am for my unmatchable mom and the VILLAGE of extended family support and mom friends I have that got me through my first 12 weeks and still today. Not surprisingly, MJ basically held the stick(sss) I peed on and was available with answers to every pain, sniffle, cry, cough and behavioral question I had. My favorite whatsApp chat with my besties from elementary school called “Tittie Talk” was designed to be a place to chat during feedings yet turned into a 24/7 hotline of chatter that beat ANY professional book I semi-attempted to read. To my maternity leave crew famously dubbed by our husbands as “MOMBIES” short for mom 🧟‍♀️ who I spent those first horrible sleepless months trying to survive through laughs, cries, wine & tequila (and still do!). To meeting the most incredibly supportive mom friends in the next phase of our kids lives, nursery school, (one who - full circle -helped us launch PWC!) to my Jersey Shore Quarantine crew who quite literally was there during the toughest challenges and helped create the most “normal” environment for our kids during a not so normal time. To the amazing new mom friends who have welcomed my family in our new city as if we have always been here, and are currently helping me navigate the very difficult realities of being a working mom. Hopefully through this partnership we will inspire normalizing difficult conversations and provide resources to those in need. So much more to come! 😏 That was a lot from me but it feels good.
