2 things to share... 1. I wanted to share a recent career win. I opened up my Spotify app the other day to see some photos I took of electronic music legends @oliverheldens, @tchami and @anabelenglund were plastered all over Spotify as playlist covers, promo pics, etc. it was my first time seeing photos I took on Spotify so it made me feel proud. 2. Sometimes it’s tough to see people in your same industry share their wins because it makes you feel like you aren’t progressing as fast as they are. I struggle with this. And it can make you feel really shitty about your own progress. But what I’ve realized is that typically those wins are accompanied by a bunch of fat L’s as well, but you just don’t get to see the L’s. So in an effort to not make other people feel shitty, here are some recent L’s I’ve taken to accompany this win: 1. Barely broke even on living expenses in some recent months 2. Got ghosted by a client - I’m assuming they didn’t like my past work lol but never heard back from them 3. Dropped my camera out of my hands right on its head like a real dumbass. Like a parent dropping their baby (luckily it was fine) 4. Most of my savings are in crypto 5. Many more L’s Hopefully this is a reminder that it’s not all sunshine and rainbows.
