“Everything is ceremony in the wild garden of childhood.” - Pablo Neruda My cousin Karima @karima.douch , daughter of my mom’s sister, is - like me and my brother - a child of two cultures: Moroccan and Flemish. I found this funny picture of the two of us when we were very very young kids, we were born just two years apart from eachother and back then our parents would go out with us for walks, we’d go play in het Kielpark, a park right inbetween where they lived and where we resided. She has been through so very much, has become a true hero (there was even a tv-series based on her experience when she was present at the Brussels airport attacks...) but before she did all that and became bigger than life, here she is when she was one head smaller than me 😅(I remember this moment as I felt this ridiculous satisfaction of being a bit taller than her ). 🤦🏽‍♂️ she was so adorable she didn’t mind 🥰😘. I’m so proud of her and her journey, she’s one of the strongest, most heroic people I know. We don’t see each other very often, except when lucky to bump into each other at the airport, then I noticed: she’s now taller than me !❤️x (veel liefs Karima, hoop alles goed met je. 😘)
