@wateraid recently published a report on period poverty in the Pacific. It highlights the major menstrual health (MH) needs and recommendations in the region, one of which is to “Strengthen supply and access to menstrual materials.” One group addressing this and other period needs of Oceania is gold certified Fiji West Days for Girls Team, a group made up of strong local leaders. The seamstresses provide locally produced kits and locally delivered education to the community, helping to establish supportive MH environments for women and girls throughout Fiji.
