Don’t worry about what others will think - just book the trip already! I talk to so many people who are worried about traveling abroad and what others tell them to dissuade them like “it’s not safe” “why aren’t you traveling with a boyfriend/husband?” “aren’t you worried about your safety in another country?” “you should be saving your money for retirement or to buy a house instead” “you can travel when you’re retired don’t travel now” Especially when I talk to women, I think so many think that they can’t go abroad by themselves or even with a group. I get that it can be scary, but I think everyone should get to experience the joy of traveling without their family, without their partner, and even without their friends. Travel is a way to find yourself and discover things outside your bubble at home. And maybe solo travel isn’t for everyone. That’s why I love group trips too! They take some of the fear of the unknown out of the equation and it’s nice to have everything taken care of and to know that you’ll make new friends on your adventure. You won’t be alone. (But even when I travel solo, I might be alone, but I’m never lonely - I’m always meeting people everywhere I go!) If any of this speaks to you, check out my next group trip coming up in May 2023.
