Everyone was seeing double at @gucci ‘s Twinsburg show in Milan today where the model cast was made up entirely of twins. 68 sets of twins to be exact. In his show notes, @alessandro_michele wrote, “As if by magic, clothes duplicate. They seem to lose their status of singularity. The effect is alienating, and ambiguous.” The casting decision was inspired by his mother, who was also a twin, and he dedicated the show to her and her sister: "To my twin mums, that were able to comprehend life only through the presence of the other.” At the link in bio @tarigonzalez discusses the meaning behind the casting.
