I’m taking a leap of faith this week and leaving behind my pharmacy job. This is the job that I went to school 8 years to get my doctorate degree, spent over 150k for schooling, stayed up countless nights studying, sacrificed many hangout sessions, dedicated countless hours, cried many nights, and the job that provides me with a 6 figure salary, health insurance, 401k, and security. What makes it all harder is that I’m leaving behind the best pharmacy career anyone could ask for. Many people dream of working in ambulatory care especially at a company as amazing as mine. My coworkers, patients, and students made the last two years so memorable and I’m beyond grateful for these amazing opportunities and memories. But I read the book “Rich Dad Poor Dad” many years ago and last month I decided I’m done being Poor Dad.
