Anyone else relate? Read why ⬇️ I had the same conversation 3x today with different clients with about this very topic (it’s like I should have a group container or something). When you have grown up in a chaotic environment or experienced trauma your body & mind becomes conditioned to the high highs and the low lows. This cycle engrains itself in your body. So you become very tolerant to high levels of discomfort. Then when you get into a safe relationship, friendship, etc it feels unsafe. For all my visual learners out there I want you to imagine your nervous system like a ski run. Imagine the majority of your life your body and mind have become conditioned to the same run over and over again. And even though it’s a gnarly hard run (yes I just said gnarly) you know EXACTLY how it’s going to go. So, even though it’s painful as hell and you fall and get (emotionally) hurt, you still choose this path because there’s a level of safety in it. The key to breaking this pattern is to go down the new slope, the one you’ve never been on before. The one that’s “scary” because it’s unknown. If you’re ready to break this pattern let’s chat I have one spot opening up to work 1:1 starting next week. Link in my bio to fill out an application and then we will jump on a call. 🌟 #healingtrauma #healingtraumasupport #traumahealing #emotionalintelligence #emotionalhealthmatters #emotionalhealing #emotionalhealth #emotionalhealthcoach #anxietysupport #anxietyrelief #healingptsd #ptsd #cptsdrecovery #developmentaltrauma #childhoodtrauma #nervoussystemregulation #nervoussystemhealth #nervoussystemhealing #nervoussystemcoach #emotionalregulation #emotionalrelease
