Thanks to a $3 million donation from Alphawood Foundation Chicago, the History of Art Department has launched the James D. McDonough Fellowship in Queer Art History.
The program, the first of its kind, is led by Jonathan Katz of @pennsas, a professor of practice and a founding figure in queer art history studies. “It’s incredible that Penn has the faculty they have, the resources they have, and that they’re interested in training a new generation of scholars who want to attend to questions of identity and sexuality from a variety of perspectives,” says Emma Jacobs, an inaugural Fellow.
