When the iconic @Fendi asked us to work with them to host a dinner for their premiere at New York Fashion Week, we were very excited to say the least. In order to celebrate the Italian Fashion house landing in New York City, we teamed up with @ronwendtdesign to set the long table at Ellis Island. As guests disembarked from their private ferry ride past the Statue of Liberty in their finest Fendi, they were greeted with champagne before having the option to head to the island’s engraved memorial of names of ancestors who passed through the great hall on their own journey to America. Our tour crew kicked off their Blundstones in favor of black leather boots, swapped out sun hats and bandanas for black sunglasses and gold chain necklaces, and hosted a luxurious meal sourced from across New York’s Hudson River valley. The following day, Fendi officially arrived at Fashion Week with their first American runway show, but the parade down the black carpet at Ellis Island was the best fashion show we’ve seen in quite a while. Then again, we spend most of our time with farmers, not fashion models. Grazie, Fendi, for pulling us out of the field and into a piece of your history.
