Dearest Mama, on Sunday night you breathed your last breathe, I wasn’t ready for you to go - but you had told me before you lost your ability to speak, that you were ready. You were my biggest supporter even if sometimes you didn’t understand or approve of what I did or who I was becoming. Your battle with breast and liver cancer showed how strong you were bc you kept standing till you could no longer. Every moment I spent with you I will hold dear, even the ones that weren’t so sweet. Ms Benetton as they called you, you were where I got so much of my style and taste from. Papa is going to miss you so much, the 36 years of your relationship and love you showed each other made me who I am today. I really wasn’t ready to say goodbye mama but Allah has a plan for everyone. I will miss you always. إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ Verily we belong to Allah and verily to him do we return.
