In today issue @liberationfr published stories of how Ukrainian artists experienced the beginning of war in Ukraine. The story of my close friend @sana_shahmuradova is among them... For now Sana is in Ukraine. I remember the day when I made this picture in Sana’s apartment in Kyiv. The place where we spent so many good moments together... the place filled with her bright energy, her artworks, plants, herbs, candles and icons. On that day one year ago we were chatting, smiling, drinking wine. We couldn’t imagine that our peaceful and beautiful reality could be so violently destroyed.
