The house my dad left in my care is officially done and on the market. Showings started today and will continue through the weekend. (Let @morgancrossonschofield know if you want to see it!) As I drove away last night and saw the for sale sign in the yard, my heart fell into the pit of my stomach. It goes without saying, above all I wish my dad was the one that would be enjoying this house. It’s views of the forest, the sound of the waterfall in the backyard, the 70’s sunken living room dream (we had talked about a cloud couch around the entire perimeter 🥹) - he would just love it. But he never got to live in it. Instead, it was finished with painstaking care and will be handed over to someone who I pray feels the blessing left behind by my father. I pray that the walls and the ceilings and even the light fixtures surge with love and peace. It has not all hit me yet. In many ways my grieving has been postponed by this house, kept at bay by the drywall underneath my fingernails, and the paint smeared on my face. And so while I wait for the avalanche I will pray over the next soul mate to find this special home. I need to not keep writing. Here are the details: 3BR, two full bath, two 1/2 baths 2913 Sq Ft Harpeth Trace Neighborhood (Percy Warner, Cheekwood) White oak hardwood throughout Designer tile (Riad Zellige, Bedrosian) Fully renovated main floor (primary bed and bath, 2 half baths, kitchen, dining, living room, den, and laundry) You can put your spin on the lower level, but also it’s move in ready. I have a few emotional thank you’s and credits I’m putting in the comments. Love y’all. Thank you for supporting us and this project with such empathy. So many of you have been along for the ride this past year and I’m grateful. Link is in my bio.
