(See comments) We all know sun protection isn’t just for sunny days but especially now, please, please protect your kids! First line of defence always is to have a healthy respect for the sun. Stay out of the sun especially during peak hours if you can help it. If you can’t, use the shade as much as possible. I always make sure they have protective clothing on as well (sun hats, sunglasses, the whole shbang). The areas of their body that are unprotected, I apply sunscreen to. People have recommended @blackgirlsunscreen Kids but since we don’t get that in the UK, I’ve had to improvise. (Ps I’ve tried a lot that say suitable for all skin tones- but apparently we don’t fall under that spectrum! Another post for another day my dear brands.) The most GENTLE with no eye sting, no white cast, super lightweight yet hydrating, and at a low price point (for me) has always been @isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel SPF 50+ PA++++. It’s a lightweight broad spectrum sunscreen which has proven time and time again to be a reliable friend. And I trust it enough to use on my precious (insert Gollum). 💬What are your most preferred sunscreens for your kids? Also, our lips have skin 🙄 and where there is skin catching sun, I’mma protect! All lip products with SPF just seem to have a horrible aftertaste for me. So far @ultravioletteau ‘s SPF50 Sheen Screen Hydrating Lip Balm is one of the few that isn’t as bad. They’ve got beautiful tints as well.
