The open spider version of the Mistral was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1964. Its elegant design was further improved in the convertible version by Giovanni Michelotti, while the shells were built by Vignale in Turin. The Mistral spider versions had mostly steel bodywork, while the front and rear hoods and doors were made of alloy. An extremely rare hard top, also made of aluminum, was designed as an option for this car.
