Evil Barbie “Evil Barbie” widely known as “Haunted Barbie” was a Mattel product from the early 80’s that never made it to production because of her evil face, updo and outfit but mainly because of the mysterious grip she had on people who saw her.. In 1982 Mattel wanted to make a limited edition doll for Halloween but she turned out to be too scary for children. The company found out in a testing process that some children started crying relentlessly, not being able to sleep and some of them even refused to eat for days after the encounter. Due to these effects Mattel scrapped the whole idea of this one off Halloween edition barbie. The dolls had to be destroyed because of the nefarious side effects it had on children and reportedly even adults. Only one doll was kept.
