It will undoubtedly cause conflict... Evangelical Christians have a habit of using the Bible as a weapon for their personal gain and religious/political agendas and, to little surprise, don’t tell their listeners the whole story. How one chooses to “interpret” these topics is their own business, but I want people to be aware of all the variables before making theological conclusions that directly affect the lives of themselves and others. . I will like to be transparent: I am a 37yo, cis het white male... I do not take this lightly considering the topic. I personally will never tell say what women or gestating people should do with their body. If a person wants to make much such determinations based upon the Bible (not exactly my first choice...) then hopefully having a range of bible verses to choose from, with historical context, will help more than a select few verses offered by pastors, which are often lacking any historical context. I simply want you to know all the variables to make your own educated choice. . I highly encourage make readers to seek out women & gestating people who have spoken out on this issue to hear them, but please refrain from political & hurtful comments here This is a safe place for women and the LGBTQ+ community. . I tried to stay as neutral on this content and to state the info as plainly as possible. If you found this post to be lacking passion, that is why.
