I discovered NFTs back in March 2021. I’ll never forget showing Alexis a tiktok about how an artist made money selling digital art on OpenSea. Was too distracted to study it then. It wasn’t until I finished my PhD writing that I deep dived into it hard August 2021 with @garyvee’s @veefriends. I became quietly obsessed with pages upon pages of ideas and scribbles of notes. Hours upon hours upon HOURS of research. I resurrected my twitter, joined what feels like hundreds of discords... observed, listened, and finally bought my first nft with @nftsarabaumann @nftwomenandweapons in October 2021. I was so dang excited when I bought the Veecon tickets, to see the magic that Gary Vee built and experience the ecosystem I immersed myself in. I got to meet some of my favorite creators and community that feels like family. Left Veecon feeling so inspired. Got Alexis obsessed too. #win As a techie, I’m so darn excited by this next iteration of the internet and digital ownership.
