I’ve been reading a lot about ikigai, which is the Japanese concept for your “reason for being”. Lately, I’ve been feeling like I’m existing in my ikigai. Nothings fulfills me more than connecting people and facilitating an environment where people feel comfortable enough to explore, learn, and create. It’s worth mentioning, too, that this is the ethos of Harbor Studios. I opened @harborstudiosmalibu a little less than a year ago, and it’s been everything I’ve wanted and more - but, this post is not about the studio. This post is my chance to say that there isn’t a day goes by where I don’t think about the fact that my ikigai has been discovered on the back of the support offered to me by the community that has surrounded me and lifted me up. I am thankful every day for the community that I am a part of. Nick, you are my brother and I feel so lucky to have crossed paths with you. We share opinions on loyalty, friendship, business, ethics, and... sometimes humor. I can’t wait to continue to grow together Thank you Lina, Lil, and Phyllis for everything you three do.
