Yesterday we said our final goodbyes to my Nan, Mary Johnson. She was the most loving, generous, genuine woman I’ve ever met. Never without a smile and always trying to give you something (a tenner or some dinner) Watching her suffer from dementia towards the end only brought out these amazing traits in her tenfold. She was like a second mum to me, we shared a house, shared a stairlift (during my Achilles rupture) and shared some incredible memories. Doing the commonwealth games only a few days after her death particularly hit me hard because it was the first home champs she wasn’t there. I’m just grateful to have these memories with her and to have known such an amazing woman. We will miss her the most 🤍🤍🤍 14/04/1934 - 25/07/2022
