A beam of light 9,842 feet above sea level and @supertrampeur's essential advice to kick off your career as a landscape photographer! "I have always felt attracted to real stories of adventures. "Into The Wild" is one of them and probably my favorite book five years after reading it for the first time. I am a big fan of Jack Kerouac and his work. I have all his books and keep reading them from time to time when I need to be inspired. In May 2015, I bought my first DSLR camera, and on my graduation day, I went with a friend to shoot the stars. So, while everybody was partying and drinking to celebrate, I was hiking and camping - this was the tipping point where it all started. Afterward, I spent the summer hiking and exploring my region, and then I decided to take a gap year. I got a job to save money and then planned a trip to Scandinavia. In April 2016, I left my home in a little yellow van and drove from Switzerland to North Cape, in Norway. On the way, I met a lot of people while I was taking photos daily. Eventually, I traveled back to Switzerland, where I started University while I went outdoors as much as possible to take photographs. However, in the end, I decided to stop my studies since I had the certainty that I wanted to become a photographer. Looking back, the following are three pieces of advice for young talent pursuing a career as a photographer: 1) The first one, and every photographer will say the following, go out and photograph as much as possible. 2) Shoot under different light conditions. Practice until you fully understand your camera settings and how the camera works. 3) Then, spend a lot of time on Lightroom to understand the program and develop a signature style. A signature style will help you differentiate your work from the other creators and allow you to create a strong and more identifiable brand. 4) Another important thing is to go out and shoot with other photographers to get inspiration and learn new methods and techniques, as long as your photography stays authentic."
