The show is over, but my memories will live on. The category is! Sorry the theme was woodland. Just woodland.. How would you do that? We went for a 3 fold approach Each letter to have their own feel The R was all about texture. The bark, the moss and how nature will try to fill every crevice The H for horticulture had to be about plants. To me ferns and foxgloves are very typical woodland plants. I also added some dainty pansies who reminded me of tiny plants I've seen in forests before and some rather magical silvery salvias as well as some long shabby grasses (who also always reminds me of the arms of our Orangutan) Finally the S was meant to represent that feeling when you get slight lost and you fight your way through the thicket which is both exciting and slightly frightening, which is why I feel this image has been used in lots of fairytales (usually to symbolise the sexual coming of age) So a little bit of thought went into it. But really it was just for people to enjoy and have their pictures taken with. And boy did they! So pleased to have help continue the tradition, that a trip to the RHS shows includes a picture with the letters Until next year . . #floralinspiration #rhs #hamptoncourtflowershow
