How to experience carnival: 1. Find a crew, carnival is a wild time and you don’t want to experience this alone! I went with @collindevonevents who took care of all the logistics 2. Research different bands to play with (this is the day you wear the costumes), you can find different bands and their costumes on Instagram, make sure you pre register because they sell out fast! We played with @oroluxurycarnivalgnd 3. Pick which line you want to be a part of. So there’s front line and back line, front line is basically the more extravagant version of the costumes in that specific band and back line is still beautiful but might have less feathers and diamonds and what not, usually cheaper. 4. Pay for costumes online 5. Pick up costumes when you arrive on land, always take a thorough look at your costume to make sure nothing is missing, these are hand made and pieces can fall off. 6. Go have the time of your life! You dance with your band (behind a truck playing music) on the road for hours.
