We’re so thankful to be recognized and grateful for their support in making our beers accessible across NYC, Westchester, and Long Island! ​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ From Tara & LeAnn: When we first started the LLC that would become TALEA, our goal was: get one beer on the shelf at Whole Foods. 9 months later, we met the Whole Foods team at @cherrybombe Jubilee 2019. The Local Forager, Chris, who was responsible for bringing on new products, agreed to meet with us once we had a beer packaged so 24 hours after canning our first beer, Sun Up, we drove our delivery van to New Jersey. Whole Foods agreed to bring on 2 cases of our first two beers: Sun Up Hazy IPA (still our flagship hazy!) and Lunch Date. Our first deliveries were exciting - we hand-packed 6 pack boxes (we were packaging 12 oz cans) between deliveries from 7am to 1pm. After our initial deliveries, we built relationships with each store’s buyer and were so happy to get to know the receiving teams and specialty teams. We especially loved stopping at Whole Foods Brooklyn in Gowanus - refueling with snacks getting a breather before finishing deliveries. Now, almost three years later, we’re incredibly grateful for the support from each store and the regional team. Sun Up has permanent shelf space at all NYC, Westchester, and Long Island Whole Foods locations and many stores bring in our fruited sours and seasonal specialties. The big milestone this year was getting support from Whole Foods to make our collaboration beer with @levainbakery. Whole Foods introduced us to the team and facilitated the creation of our collaboration “Dark Chocolate Cookie Stout” inspired by Levain’s Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip cookies (available in Whole Foods!). This special beer was a Whole Foods and TALEA taproom exclusive, garnering coverage in The New York Times and selling out at our taproom in days.​​​​​​​​ - ​​​​​​​​ 🔗 in bio
