🇮🇹 YOUR GUIDE TO HOT SPRINGS IN TUSCANY 🧖♀️
Save this post for your next Italy trip 🙌
🌿 Best FREE Hot Springs:
- Bagni di San Filippo
- Cascate del Mulino
- Bagno Vignoni
- San Casciano dei Bagni
- Bagni di Petriolo
🧖♀️ Best Thermal Baths/Spas:
- Fonteverde Spa
- Terme Tettuccio
- Venturina
🤔 What to expect:
The hot springs are known for having water with healing properties! After a bath there you feel definitely relaxed. However, beware of the sulfur smell which is characteristic of these thermal waters.
🚶♀️How to get around:
Since public transports in Tuscany are quite limited (not only in terms of schedules but also accessibility) the best way by far is by car!
⏳ Best time to visit:
You can visit the hot springs any time of the year. However, during summer, crowds are usually very big and it’s also too hot to enjoy the hot springs properly. Spring months are the best to go 🙌
👙 What to bring there:
Bring your towel and water so that you don’t get dehydrated! Note that there are no changing facilities in these hot springs, so you need to change in your accommodation or car. Also, you might want to wear water shoes as the spring’s floor are often covered with small and slippery stones and dust.
✍️ Travel tip: as you might already know several of the hot springs in Italy are already extremely famous and therefore they can get very crowded (e.g. Cascate del Mulino). If you want to have a more peaceful experience you can go there during late afternoon. Sunrise is also a great idea except for Cascate Del Mulino during high season!
It’s almost unreal that places like these exist and that you can visit for free right? Would you like to visit the hot springs in Tuscany one day? 😍
