In my humble opinion .... I think we should pick five random country music fans across the country and ask them their favorite songs of the year to determine our award shows . I think our industry often over looks commercial success as if we should discount art if It’s consumed in mass quantities. My bet is if you let country music fans decide based on the soundtrack of their lives , more often than not this man’s songs would dominate their playlists.
