#HappyThanksgiving from the Rubin! 🦃 Today, we’re feeling especially grateful for all of your support. The Rubin, our space, collection, and programs, would not be possible without you. Thank you for inspiring us and enabling us to keep our museum open. As we enter the season of gratitude and gathering, it’s the perfect time to explore the implement depicted in this graphic, an offering bowl. Offering bowls, carved with symbols of good fortune, are arranged to form the “seven offerings.” The seven offerings are symbolic representations of the seven welcoming gifts given to guests in ancient India. They are presented to deities and can include water, flowers, incense, light, perfume, food, and music. We’re so glad you are a part of our Rubin community!
