We had the final show of our residency #LoveInLasVegas on Saturday & it was such a beautiful celebration of love, creativity, friendship & family! Chrissy surprised me backstage. She wasn’t supposed to make it because she had obligations in LA but she made it happen anyway. My mom, dad & all my siblings from Ohio & several other extended family members came & celebrated w/ us. For most of them, it was their first time seeing the show & they were SO IMPRESSED. They’ve seen me tour for almost 20 years & have seen me singing for almost 40 (😳). What we created in Las Vegas was so special. Our creative process was collaborative & full of love & trust. My team knows me so well & we created a show that celebrated my entire journey, all the stories & songs that made me who I am. I’m so proud of what we accomplished together. Everyone brought their A+ game every night & made me feel so supported & confident. Thank you to our tour manager John Warren, senior advisor Hassan Smith, production manager Chris Stinebrink & everyone on the JL Touring team, everyone who designed & built sets, did lighting & sound, wardrobe, etc. Thank you to my agent Brent Smith, my lawyer Aaron Rosenberg & business manager David Levin & all their teams. Thank you to @phvegas & @caesarsentertainment for hosting us. Thank you to Chrissy & the babies for being with me & inspiring me through it all, staying up past bedtime (& sometimes having bedtime right there) at the show. And THANK YOU to the many thousands of you who came to feel the love in the audience w/ us! This was the last show for now, but I certainly hope we can bring it back when the time is right.
