Meet Maria D. Flowers, MHA contributing writer for #cherylmagazine​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ Maria has worked in the healthcare industry for more than twenty years in varying roles across the care continuum. She owns a boutique consulting firm where she speaks and trains national and international healthcare organizations on the impact of racism on disparate healthcare outcomes. Maria is the CEO of a nonprofit organization, Safer Healthcare for All, dedicated to advocating for patients and healthcare workers who experience discrimination in healthcare settings. She is currently completing her Doctorate in Education at the University of Southern California.
