Here’s a review of our 2022 giving, all made possible thanks to you. We kicked things off with a made-to-order preorder shirt for Ukraine, with 100% of proceeds going to the @globalgiving Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund. In total, this campaign raised more than $20,000 for Ukraine. Next, we launched our ‘Menage-a-Gnaw’ Cabana shirt that featured an icy tryst between two seals and a shark. We donated 100% of launch month sales to @arcticiceproject (and 15% thereafter), raising $25,000 to help this wonderful organization protect Arctic ice and combat climate change. In April 2022, Tombolo launched a clothing collaboration with @nycsanitation, the Department of Sanitation of New York. 10% of all proceeds support the @sanitationfoundation, an organization devoted to celebrating and supporting the essential Sanitation workforce and advancing the Department’s ambitious zero-waste agenda. Another 10% of all proceeds support the City of New York via NYC & Company, an organization founded to maximize travel and tourism opportunities throughout NYC and build economic prosperity. Lastly, in keeping with tradition, every dollar of every Tombolo purchase on Christmas Day supported a worthy cause: this year, we donated proceeds of over $20,000 to Edible Schoolyard NYC. @esynyc works to address inequities by providing public schools with integrated food education and food support. As members of @1percentftp, we commit to donating at least 1% of our revenue to approved environmental causes. We have also made our own ‘$1 For The People’ commitment, pledging that for every order, we will donate a minimum of $1 to causes that help humanity. (No double-counting! Any donation can only work towards one, not both, of these commitments). Tombolo is wishing you all a happy and healthy 2023 and looking forward to many more initiatives to come.
