it’s been 7 months since i have come to instagram to make a post of my work. it’s been a battle to be proud of my work. it’s been difficult to let the barrier of what i see as imperfections in my work be a bridge. a bridge that doesn’t let the barriers get in the way of what really matters. recent conversations and understanding has led me to be ok with what my work is and to let it be beautiful in that time. it was beautiful in the time that it was shot and it’s beautiful standing before me in digital form. i always want to go back and reverse small details to make myself happier and less distraught but not everything is perfect especially in the world of art and that’s life. life is about taking the imperfections and what we see as negative and not letting them be a barrier but a bridge. life is art and that’s what i want to capture. the imperfections that make life beautiful. it’s about letting go of control and letting the realness and authenticity of a moment that is before you be beautiful. it turned out just the way it should have. i look foward to sharing my work more. - i present Zoe at her birthday shoot that I got the honor of photographing. these photos are from my very first studio shoot in november. it was my first time stepping into the world of studio by myself and i was very frightful of what the results of this shoot would be. however with a little bit of fine tuning at the beginning of the shoot with the lighting and flash, these are the results that stand today. during the shoot the sun was setting and i suggested to just turn off the flash and studio lights to have a few shots of the natural light peaking through the window. the warm evening sun married so well with the honey tones of zoe’s hair and the pink in her flowers.
