It’s not often we get to meet our idols, much less create a custom bespoke garment for them while also working your dream job. During the summer of 2019, while brunching at Fred’s at Barney’s, I saw Andre eating lunch and had to introduce myself. He couldn’t have been kinder to me or more gracious with his time. @badgalriri and i wanted to make him feel special at our @savagexfenty show that September, and we began a very long journey of documenting the story of creating a custom caftan for him. I think we can all laugh at it now, but boy he was demanding and knew what he wanted!! That began a wonderful friendship between he and I, that I couldn’t begin to imagine would happen. What a wonderful man, dynamic storyteller, visionary thinker and believer in beautiful luxurious things, just because. RIP dear @andreltalley thank you for your friendship and pushing me always. ♥️🙏🏼🕊
