The last one is a little embarassing 🙈 #underconsumption underconsumption is a form of self-love. Before impulse buying stuff I don’t need, I ask myself... 1. Why do I think this new thing will make me happier? 2. Who is influencing me and do I trust them? 3. What void am I trying to fill? You will rarely find true self-love in a product, procedure, or pop-culture trend. Sure, it might give you a temporary dopamine hit, but that won’t translate into long-term fulfillment. Though I dabble in my fair share of fashion, beauty, travel, and home decor, I despise how much we consume. Living below my means, shopping secondhand, and being intentional with my purchases is better for my self-esteem, budget, and our planet. 🫶
