Hi wonderful clients! 👋. I figured it’s finally time I briefly clarify this name situation to avoid confusion: . As you know, my name is Julia Correa. 🙋🏼 At the salon in which I work, Avanti, there is another stylist named Julia C. as well, furthermore with a somewhat similar last name to mine. ✌️ This stylist has been working at the salon for a decade longer than I have, and therefore, when I began working there 6 years ago, to avoid confusion, the salon had me change my name. We landed on “J”. . . (The spelling of “J” in reference to me will differ, depending on who you ask, because it’s not actually my name. The salon spells it “Jae, some clients spell it “Jay”, and I personally just use the letter, as I feel It the most fitting, since it is at least an initial/abbreviation, rather than a whole new name. However, I don’t mind any form of spelling, so long as it’s clear who we are referring to. Me. 😉) . 📥Many of you message me directly on Instagram to book, which works great, and to be honest what I prefer. ☎️Others call the salon directly after viewing my IG, speak to a receptionist, and request to book an appointment with me over the phone. This post is simply a friendly heads up to those folks who feel more comfortable with calling the salon directly, 👉to please remember to ask to book with “J”. 👈 .
