this morning I had a meeting that I wouldn’t have dreamed would be possible five years ago. it was everything I once envisioned would be a true accomplishment and could add to my list of success. it was fun & i’m really excited. and then our family of 5 started working on our little farm— the sort of little farm that is best seen through golden eyes of potential. the girls drove their little pink raptor while laughing hysterically & I mowed the grass while Hayes slept in the carrier. I watched Cody build and the chickens laid fresh eggs while the dogs scouted for adventure. we walked through the orchard and I smiled thinking that there could not be any possible measure of “success” that could compete with this love for my family. I’m thankful to experience the roller coaster of both failure and achievement so that I might know what truly is constant. opportunity, praise & prosperity might fill a purse, but the loving of others always fills the soul.
