5 compelling reasons to eat salads for fat loss:
1️⃣ VOLUME - if you can’t stick to your diet long term then you’re going to find it difficult to lose fat. If you struggle with hunger then you should be aiming to include lots of high volume foods to ‘bulk up’ your meals. This means utilising your calories to include big bowls of veggies/fruits (salads) which are filling Vs using your calories for a piece of chocolate which won’t be satiating at all and will leave you wanting more...
2️⃣ FIBRE - salads are a great way to easily up your fibre intake. Fibre digests slowly which is great for keeping your appetite in check, leaving you feeling fuller for longer ✅
3️⃣ VARIETY - there’s endless variety with what you can put into a salad bowl. This keeps meals interesting and tasty 😋
4️⃣ MICRONUTRIENTS - linked to variety, different vitamins & minerals play an important role in energy production & other functions, studies have also shown that long-term weight loss maintenance can be associated with a healthier diet pattern, including consuming foods with higher micronutrient density
These are just some of the reason why I personally LOVE salads
And no this doesn’t mean just eating a plate of plain lettuce (aka rabbit food)
