WHAT TO DO IN NYC IN JANUARY ❄️ QUE HACER EN NUEVA YORK EN ENERO January is one of the least busy months in the city, so if you want to avoid the crows, this is the time! Now... what can you do in the city in the first month of the year? 1- Ice Skating This month is the perfect time to go ice skating! The city has so many amazing ice rinks for you to try. I have previously skated at Wollman Rink in Central Park and The Rink at Rockefeller Center, but there are lots more you can try as well: - The Winter Village at Bryant Park offers the only FREE ice rink in NYC (if you bring your skates) - Roebling Rink in Brooklyn Bridge Park offers a chance to skate beneath the Brooklyn Bridge with the backdrop of the Manhattan skyline. - The Rink at Brookfield Place - The Ice Rink at Pier 17 in the Seaport - The new rink at Domino Park And so many more!! 2- Enjoy the snow We are having one of the most snowy seasons in the past few years, and there are plenty of places to see it in its prime. I personally recommend walking through Central Park and seeing people skiing, sledding and having fun! 3- Visit a museum (or two or three!) Museums in NYC are wonderful... and there are 170 of them, so you really have plenty of options to choose from. I personally recommend the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum and the New York Historical. Spending the day at a museum is the perfect plan for those freezing January days. 4- Broadway Week and Restaurant Week In 2025, these two events run from January 21 to February 9. Broadway Week offers 2-for-1 tickets to Broadway shows and with Restaurant Week you can sample a variety of cuisines across the five boroughs with 2-course lunches and 3-course dinners at $30, $45 and $60.
