I’m fully booked now, but it wasn’t always the case. Here’s what I did to build my clientele 👇 1. When I first started out, I made myself available by working as much as possible. I worked five days a week, from morning to night if needed, including Saturdays. You’ve got to crawl before you walk. 2. I took everyone! I never turned down a client. A simple men’s cut could turn into a full highlight referral—believe it or not, this happened to me a few times. 3. From the very beginning I made sure my clients booked their next appointment before they even walked out the front door. I know this doesn’t work for everyone but it works for me and gives me a sense of job security. 4. Last but certainly not least, I started using social media as a marketing tool. I took as many classes as I could, learned how to take good hair pictures and videos, and posted daily. Clients want to see your work—they want to see the before and afters. Social media is your portfolio How I built my clientele might not work for everyone but posting this in hopes it helps someone.
