here’s the thing... what i think of me has nothing to do with what is thought of me. people think i’m a spectacle but i’m actually a spectator. they think i’m a boy or a girl when i’m not really either one. in a different time and place, i would have no idea how old i am, but something about that looseness of definition is exactly what defines me. i’m not seeking a true form. i’m just passing thru scenes and phases of life and interacting with the parts that interest me. i’m never anything but honest, curious and me so, in my mind, the lack of definition eliminates the need to redefine. i can do whatever i want. i think i’m water in more ways than one but i can just as easily be viewed as rocks. no matter how shiny your presentation of self is it will always be interpreted thru the variably foggy lenses of others. this is what makes peoples projections on situations so interesting. their lenses are so dirty from things they’ve done or that have been done to them that all they can see is their reflection on everything you show them. i speak with my mouth but i listen with my eyes so i used to think it was my job to clean their glasses too. i wanted everyone to be able to understand. to see what i mean. but now i realize that most of them could take them off if they felt like it. they just prefer their point of view... and honestly, that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be. . 📷 - @brennendaniels
