It’s finally moving day! I might still sleep at my old place for another night or two (I’ll probably decide that at the last minute), but it’s the beginning of the end for me at this home. And as excited as I am to move and to live somewhere that I own for the first time, it is sad saying goodbye. This was my home for over 12 years. Almost 1/3 of my life. So much happened in this place that turned me into the person that I am today. I have some of the most happy moments here as well as some of the most heartbreaking ones. This place was a lucky find for me. I needed a new place ASAP and this randomly was in my budget. And I’ve stayed here because the rent was so low! The last few years I lived here it was only $1100 due to rent stabilization. That’s basically unheard of in Culver City. My little 400 square foot home has been the perfect place for me to figure out exactly who I am and what I want. And now, I will be living that life in my new condo! So thank you to my home for allowing me to grow into myself. I will miss you.
