The Bullet Ant Ritual of the Mawe 🐜🇧🇷 This is truly a unique travel experience. We went deep into the Amazon to meet a tribe that has a ritual unlike any other. They brought us along for the process of harvesting dozens of Bullet Ants (the most painful insect sting there is) and then putting them in a potion that put them to sleep while they were woven into a glove. Then a 12 year old boy had to wear the glove for several minutes as he danced with the tribe. He is not allowed to make a sound from the excruciating pain AND he has to do this 21 times before he is considered a man. I will happily remain a boy for the rest of my life if that’s what it takes 😂
