Saving tips: get Swiss travel pass for unlimited public transportation and mountain excursions to all these amazing places! 1 Day Zurich 🤎 Explore the city 🤎 Visit Lindt, the home of chocolate 2 Days in Lucerne 🤎 Explore the city (Chapel Bridge, Old Town, Funicular Gütsch & view from hotel Château Gütsch) 🤎 Day Trip to Mt. Pilatus 🤎 Ride Frakigaudi toboggan run 🤎 Boat at Lake Lucern 🤎 Go on CabriO to Stanserhorn 🤎 Take the panoramic express (PE) train from Lucerne to Interlaken (no reservation needed) 2 Days in Jungfrau Region (if I have to redo, I will make it 3 days instead) 🤎 Stay at @hotelglacier 🤎 Explore Grindelwald (first cliff walk, jungfraujoch, Grindelwald city village) 🤎 Visit Brienz (Brunngasse, Brienz Rothorn banh) 🤎 Stop by Iseltwald for the famous lake from CLOY 🤎 Explore Lauterbrunnen 🤎 Take the PE Golden Pass from Interlaken to Montreux 1 Day in Monthey (if I have to redo- I’d make this 2 days instead) 🤎 Stay at @whitepod and enjoy all the great amenities and hiking trail around the property. 2 Day in Zermatt (if I have to redo- I’d skip it, keep reading for my reasons) 🤎 Explore Zermatt Village 🤎 Gornergrat Railway - enjoy the scenery and stop at Riffleberg (walk down to Riffelsee lake to see Matterhorn with its reflection) 🤎 Hike the 5 Lakes trail. If you don’t have 2.5 hrs to spend, go to first lake, Stellisee, to get that famous picture with Matterhorn background and its reflection. 🤎 Visit Swiss Glacier Cave and the Ice Palace 🤎 Have fondue! The reason I suggest to skip Zermatt during shoulder season is because many cool restaurants that offer bucket list experiences are close (reopen in Nov). The town itself is very charming, but IMO, it’s best to visit during winter to experience the magic this mountain town has to offer.
