I turned 27 yesterday and this is a visual representation of where my life is at (filmed last summer with my fam in El Salvador). I’m flailing around and hoping for the best, but surrounded by a lot of love. Thank you to everyone who made me feel so cared for yesterday. In true Cancerian Angeleno form, I cried in my car. Tears are necessary and powerful. I wept for Devante and my friends who are mourning on top of so much grief already. I’m thankful for my life, health, family, partner and community, & thank you to the Black and Brown femmes, freaks, queers, non-binary babes who have helped form me into the complex and tender adult I am. Let’s keep fighting for each other, holding space for one another, and express and experience expansive joy.
