The best part about yesterday? The students represented Cathedral with integrity, poise, passion, and kindness. Though winning is always a nice perk, it’s not the most important thing. I am talking about their attitudes, work ethic, kindness towards each other and other choirs, and the respect they showed towards the adults around them. Winning is much more meaningful when it’s achieved with respect for others and a commitment to doing things the right way. I also noticed that the other choirs were supportive and encouraging, and that’s how it should be at these comps. All the kids and directors work tirelessly to put something they can take pride in on that stage. This makes it worth it! I am so proud of our students and though they are competitive, they are just fantastic kiddos. ⭐️☘️
