1. Good Mornings on the Hack Squat
If youβre trying this for the first time, keep in mind:
π Some Hack SQ machines can be pretty heavy, even w/o plates. Try without weight, establish your footing and form.
π Keep your core engaged (avoid anterior pelvic tilt aka arching your lower back) to reduce risk of injury.
π Control your negatives*** - I like to focus on driving through my heels and driving my knees out (external rotation of the hips) on the way down to maintain tension on the glutes. I try to feel them through the entire ROM (range of motion).
2. Bulgarian Split SQ β οΈ - we love to hate them π₯²
π Focus in flexion and extension of the hip* joint. I like to warm up with a few reps of just my body weight before grabbing a DB.
