💭 Did you know MTV hosted a music fest in Zilker Park? Before ACL and Blues on the Green took over Zilker, MTV hosted the first Sports and Music Fest on Oct 17-19, 1997. For $5, you could walk up to the gate and catch blink-182, The Offspring, Reel Big Fish, 311, Wu-Tang Clan, and MORE all play in front of a massive half pipe! 🤯 While also catching premiere skate, BMX, and snowboarding competitions and exhibitions happening across the festival grounds. 🛹🏂🚲⁠ ⁠ Our creative director, Ian Orth, was there at that fest!
