For all the new followers curious about this look, here is a little throwback in time! This look was originally created in 2015 (blimey that’s actually 7 years ago now!) I was always fascinated by the link between faith and masochism both physical and mental, and this one by story of the Crucifixion itself. Leather represents the skin, and spikes - nails piercing though flesh. Made of nude leather and spikes, featuring hand painted imagery by me. Its a very heavy costume, especially the headpiece/crucifix part. It was definitely one of the earlier projects of mine where I felt confident that my ideas can be also expressed though costume medium as well as painting and I can merge two together.
