"Cut The Ties" (full video on youtube) is both about my genuine desire to escape and set off on adventures when life gets difficult and the trope of the open road in American literature & media. The shiny idea of escape as an answer to one's loneliness and restlessness "still ain't old after all this time", even though the moral of these stories is often the realization that building community is the answer.
