Brooke, one of our Flight Attendants, learned that Denise, one of her Passengers, was a newly retired flight attendant from one of our competitors. As Denise shared about her 46 years of service in the airline industry, there was one story that surprised Brooke more than anything else: Denise’s former Employer never honored her for her final flight! The only thing Denise got after 46 years of service was a placard with the wrong last name on it. Well at Southwest, we never miss an opportunity to celebrate People, and this just wasn’t gonna fly for Brooke or the rest of the Southwest Crew. They organized all sorts of surprises to honor Denise before they landed. They included a snack pack crown, handwritten notes from the whole Crew, and an announcement over the PA, which was met with cheers and congratulations from the other Passengers.
