🫶🏽✨ was asked to be part of this great piece on double lives that @scotistan wrote for @viceuk a few months ago. It took some time and a lot of energy on Zab’s behalf to get it out there and I am so proud to have a small part in something that means so much to me and those who will read it. I think I’ve always been someone who has been a bit weird , a outsider, and someone who was so used to doing their own thing I never really found anyone who understood it let alone my parents. I’ve had to hide things from them and my brothers and it wasn’t till I was much older and confident I was able to get there. I think a lot of times we have to sacrifice who we are to make other people happy and after doing that for many years I just decided it’s been so hard and I need to let it go. I look at the pictures from this shoot and I see someone new , someone who is getting their confidence and independence back. I’m so grateful Zab took the time to sit with me and reflect on things and my life and we talked about similar experiences we both have and continue to have. Really hyped to share this piece with other inspiring people who’s stories are just as important even more 💜 so happy with all the love and support I’ve found along the way and happiness to be the same weird kid I always have been - 🙃 big up @_yushy on the beautiful and intimate pictures in this piece as well as @mariimals for letting me shoot in her flat.
